Telling a story...

The disciples asked him, "Why do you tell stories?"

Jesus replied, "You've been given insight into God's kingdom. You know how it works. Not everyone has this gift, this insight; they haven't received it yet. Whenever someone has a ready heart for this, the insights and understandings flow feely. I tell stories to create readiness, to nudge the people toward receptive insight.
- Matthew 13:10 -

Jesus said that he told stories to ready the hearts of the people.

Go now, write it on a tablet for them,
inscribe it on a scroll,
that for the days to come
it may be an everlasting witness.
- Isaiah 6:10 -

A lost & dying world is willing to get lost in a story.

What is in your heart to write?

Looking for new moments to listen & write,

Margie,

You've hit the mark with this post.

"A lost & dying world is willing to get lost in a story."

Yeah. I think so too.

And I'm asking Him for direction.

I'll be pondering your question this week and in the weeks to come.

Thanks for sharing these verses and your insights.

Sweet dreams.

Margie,

I'm praying here about which story to work on for the next year. I'm also thinking about the one story you have shared with me and praying for you because there are women who need to hear THAT story.

I look forward to catching up with you in February.

Blessings,
Angel
