According to history, ladybugs appear to us when we have an opportunity to succeed, grow, and start something new. All of the beetle family go through a process to transform from larvae to adult.
Gentle reminders from nature that we too can live a transformed life with Him.

I had no idea that ladybugs symbolize "letting go of fear". I determined that 2009 would be the year that I face several long-held fears.
So, I guess 2009 could be the Year of the Ladybug for me.
