Any Minute...

I've just finished the new novel, Any Minute, by Joyce Meyer & Deborah Bradford.

I enjoyed the book because it's about forgiveness, second chances, hope, inner healing and all the good stuff that God brings.

I was reading the book at the pool, relaxed and settled in for the afternoon. Read, eat, take a nap, read some more...that was my schedule. I reached in my bag and pulled out a glass bottle of cold pomegrante juice. Yum! As I popped off the lid, the bottom of the glass literally fell off in one piece and all of the juice fell fast & hard onto my lap and the book. I didn't really care about my lap because I was at the pool BUT my new book! I quickly grabbed my towel and begin to separate each page & gently blot it dry. The heat of the day began to dry the pages quickly and they were already turning a red tone, stained, and curled up at the corners as they dried.

In a moment, I saw it. So it is with our lives. We try to keep them new and clean and fresh...each page perfect. Yet, life has stains. We will get wet, encounter heat, and our pretty look will change. Why do we try to protect oursleves? He is more than willing & able to forgive us, cleanse us, refresh us, and use those stains as a beautiful testimony that we have overcome. And so can others!

Revelations 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and did not love their lives to the death.

Glad that you got to finish the book.

And you're so right. "He is more than willing and able to...use those stains as a beautiful testimony...."

I love. Love. The verse that you quoted from Revelation 12:11.

Beautiful application.

Thanks!
