Driving to work...

Recent observations while driving to work...

I realized that I usually look right and not left. So, I began looking left for my 1.5 mile drive out of my neighborhood to the main road.

Sight...rolling green hills of a golf course, sand traps, people playing their favorite sport early in the morning with friends, flags, lakes with fountains of rushing water

Sound...Children at the bus stop talking, playing, excited for their day

Taste...vanilla latte as I sip it during the ride...hoping that I stop at the light to avoid spilling

Smell...the clean fresh autumn air

Touch...the dirty steering wheel that I think I will clean later

Mood...enjoying His presence & praise as I drive through the neighborhood

Why have I not looked left before?

What else have I missed OR what else will I now include?

I love being able to drive and just take in the scenery like that. Sometimes simple things like this can be so special. Thanks for sharing it.

Also, I wanted to thank you for the really nice comment you left on my blog. I'm so glad you visited! :)

Amazing how much we observe simply from changing our focus from right to left.

I like how you make this ordinary drive such a sensory experience.

Hope you enjoy your vanilla latte this week.

Sweet dreams.
